Honey I’m home and I’ve had a hard
day *year*. Is that song stuck in your head now?? Because it’s stuck in mine. Haha!
But for real, walking into this hospital after 16 months of not being there was pure bliss. Before I walked in, I had all the birthy jitters. Like so bad that I bought food and couldn’t even eat it because I was so anxious and I was praying to God that I wouldn’t get the anxiety sh*ts. Yea, you know what I’m talking about.
As soon as I walked through the double doors on the second floor, the nurses behind the desk said “JAYME!!! It’s been a while”. I could have cried right there! Not only because I was finally back but because they had actually remembered me. I finally felt like I was home again.
It felt so great to be back in the saddle again. Only difference this time was that I was bringing in some doula expertise. Although I had already been doing the work of a doula with my previous clients, this time I actually felt like I was allowed to be their doula. That that was my field.
I tell ya, there is nothing better to me than being in a birth space with a camera in my hand and getting to help my clients navigate through birth and transition into motherhood.
Contact me to be at your birth! I can only take a few clients a month so don’t wait until the last minute!
